As we navigate these unprecedented times and find new ways to connect with you all, Little City Books is delighted to host a Zoom book event with Peggy Rowe moderated by her son, Mike, to celebrate Mother’s Day and the launch of Peggy’s new book About Your Father (And Other Celebrities I Have Known). Purchase her new book through our online store, and you will be invited to join the virtual event on Thursday, May 7, 2020 from 6:00PM—7:00PM EDT.
Buy an unsigned copy of the book from Little City Books by adding the book to the cart below. Once we’ve received your order, we will send an invite to your email address with a password to follow just before the book event.
Space is limited. To attend this Zoom book event, purchase a book no later than Wednesday, May 6, 2020. We recommend purchasing a book as soon as possible to secure your spot.
Like many small businesses, Little City Books is closed, and we are unable to provide signed copies of the book. We are shipping unsigned books direct to homes through our distributor. Please note that it will take about a week for your book to arrive.
The Zoom book event will be recorded. By attending, you consent to (a) the filming and your image, voice, and name being captured on video and/or audio, and (b) any such materials being used by Little City Books, Peggy Rowe, and/or Mike Rowe for any purpose, including personal or book promotional purposes.
Please be sure to download Zoom before the event on Thursday, May 7, 2020 from 6:00PM—7:00PM EDT.
Since we are all working from home, you can contact us by emailing email@example.com, if you have any questions about the event.
We look forward to seeing you at the event!
From the day the Rowes said, “I do,” Peggy’s sense of humor went into action. It was a perfect match for John’s minimalist quirks. From thoughts of wearing headlamps in the house to save energy, to squeezing out the last drop of toothpaste with a workbench vise, Peggy learned to pick her battles and celebrate the hilarity in each situation. When the oldest of three sons, Mike, began a career in show business, Peggy was his most exuberant fan. She baked Christmas cookies for Mike to take to Joan Rivers and wrote fan letters under faux names she mailed to his producers. Retirement brought new adventures for Peggy and John—a lightning strike in their condo, an elderly friend eating marijuana leaves, and a foray into the world of commercials. You’ll join the Rowes as they advertise Viva paper towels, Lee jeans, Felpro gaskets, and more. Peggy’s stories relive details that intrigue and entertain. If you want a bigger, funnier take on the Rowe family, About Your Father delivers.
