Caren's novel Carrie Pilby was published in 2003 and sold 74,000 copies worldwide. She's run publishing/writing seminars for adults and teens in the tri state area at libraries and as part of a Scholastic Inc. program. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in English.
